Brand Identity Design, Website Building, Wix Studio
Open Digital Lab is a small-scale social enterprise I’ve been developing with a few collaborators. It started as a space to explore digital tools, test ideas, and share resources—particularly for small businesses and digital marketers. While not a full-time venture, it gave me the space to apply brand building, campaign planning, and experimentation in a flexible, real-world setting. The long-term goal is to make it self-sustaining—able to support small social and educational projects, and eventually bring in contributors. For now, it remains paused while we focus on other career priorities and rebuild the platform.
Brand Identity Design
Website Building - Wix & Wix Studio
The ODL logo is probably my favorite design out of all the ones I’ve created.
At first, it was just a combination of basic geometric shapes forming the letters O, D, and L. But as I reworked it—dissecting it into smaller elements and recombining them—the current version came together naturally. It perfectly captures the vibe I’m aiming for and clearly reflects both the name and the purpose of the brand.
As for the website, I initially chose Wix because it sits somewhere between very simple builders like Google Sites or Carrd, and more powerful platforms like Framer or Webflow—both in terms of capability and cost. However, I only discovered Wix Studio after I had already started building the site. I wanted to switch to Wix Studio, but Wix doesn’t support migration at all. So I ended up recreating the whole thing from scratch in Wix Studio.
Later, after exploring other tools, I realized that the ideal platform for what I want to do is a Hugo site hosted on GitHub Pages. Now, I’m learning Hugo, Git, and GitHub Pages, and I’m working to get the site published as soon as possible.
