MINE✦
Something no one else can replicate. Something only I can create. This is truly mine—my story.
14 YEARS AGO, AN IDEA WAS PLANTED IN ME.
Inception (2010) - Written & Directed by Christopher Nolan
In 2010, a movie planted an idea in my mind.
The idea itself was that "you can plant an idea in someone's mind." That concept profoundly changed me and, in many ways, came to define who I am.
Inception by Christopher Nolan was likely my earliest source of inspiration, sparking my journey into marketing. If you haven't watched the movie, the basic plot is about a team planting an idea into someone's mind through dreams. (Please watch the movie though. It's REALLYYY GOOD.)
To this day, I see marketing communication as an act of planting ideas in people's minds. Quotes from the movie like "positive emotion trumps negative emotion every time," and how the characters used layers and layers of dreams to plant the idea—or how the director himself used the same method to plant his ideas—have always influenced the way I work.
It’s amazing how an idea, crafted by someone thousands of miles away, can take root in another person and shape their life, isn’t it? It can break or make someone's life. It's a spiritual craft, and an incredibly powerful tool—one we should always use responsibly. That craft was used on me.
And now I want to use that craft to plant good and positive ideas in people's minds, because I know that the right idea, in the right mind, at the right time, can change everything.
BUILDING IDENTITIES, IDEAS, & REALITIES.
Tokyo, Japan (2017) - SSEAYP Trip
I believe creation is in the nature of man.
I have loved creating things all my life, whether it be drawings, memes, projects, logos, or brands.
In high school, I wanted to be a developer because I wanted to build programs. After high school, I took various courses, explored my options, and found my interest in business management, which became my major in college. I wanted to build businesses. (Welp, I also thought I could just hire devs to build programs for me if I got rich. :3)
Eventually, I found my ground in Digital Marketing where business, technology, and creativity intersect. It just felt right. It still does. But while I enjoyed doing it, I didn't really know what I was building or what I wanted to build. I thought I was building campaigns or helping other people build their business or brands.
The answer came much, much later, and it was "realities." Communication creates realities inside people’s mind. The stories we tell, the messages we send—they build beliefs, feelings, actions. And that’s exactly what I want to do—build those realities. I want to create campaigns, ideas, brands that don’t just exist on a screen but live in minds and hearts.
And no matter where I end up, I want to keep building those realities that matter, not as a marketer but as a human.

On February 1, 2021, the Myanmar military violently overthrew the elected government. Since then, the country has been torn apart by brutal conflict. According to statistics, over 6,000 civilians have been killed, more than 1 million displaced, and countless others live in constant fear. The actual numbers are likely much, much higher.
The military's recent implementation of a mandatory conscription law has greatly intensified the crisis. Young men and women, aged 18–35 and 18–27 respectively, are now required to serve up to two years (which basically means forever) in the military.
I was lucky to have parents who supported me in getting out of the country early with the resources they had, but many of my friends are still trapped. They live every day with the fear of when the military might come for them. It’s not always an immediate life-or-death moment, but a constant shadow hanging over their lives. Especially in rural areas, people are being caught and forced into the military. And it’s getting harder and harder to even leave the country.
All I want to say is: if you’re an employer and someone from Myanmar applies, please give them a chance. Tell your business owner friends, too. We’ve faced things many people can’t imagine, but we are willing to work hard and build a better future. And I think we deserve that opportunity.
And if you want to support the people in any way, let me know — I can direct you to organizations I trust that are genuinely doing their best on the ground.
Thank you so much for reading this. I really appreciate it.
